This study comes at a time when Israel and India are commemorating the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of their full diplomatic relations, and a gradual Indian bias towards Israeli positions and policies, whether related to the Palestinian issue or regional alliances, amid the rise of multi-billion dollar arms deals, the growth of economic and commercial partnerships, and increased security coordination and intelligence cooperation to confront what they believe to be common enemies.
The resumption of relations with India, Israel, has given a new sphere that it was deprived of until recently, when India was one of the most important countries in the world in support of the Palestinian cause and a backer of it in various fields, knowing that the rapprochement that they are witnessing serves both in the same fields that they seek, especially in light of the increasing Israeli influence with the Arab countries after the series of normalization agreements, as well as the repositioning of regional and global policies that brought them together in a remarkable manner, interspersed with a series of mutual visits and the conclusion of multiple deals, in various sectors.
The Israeli circles do not hide their follow-up on developments that India is going through in preparation for a strategic partnership with it. It comes at a time when the two countries are getting ready to sign the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between them. In one way or another, this suggests that Israel in light of the Indian policy has shifted from a burden that must be kept secret, to an open and important ally.
This study highlights the most prominent areas of Indian-Israeli rapprochement, their motives for that, the impact of this rapprochement on their local, regional and international policies, and the repositioning of their policies on political, military and economic affairs, and how the security challenges that the two countries face have affected their rapprochement, in terms of exchanging joint security and military experiences
