Sunak and British Foreign Policy - Determinants and Priorities

The appointment of Rishi Sunak as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom was an important moment in the country's culture, and a milestone in the history of ethnic minorities in Britain. The image of an Indian occupant of this position was a source of excitement for many historical, ethnic, political, and even economic dimensions, given that Sunak is one of the most important businessmen in Britain in the last decade.
Hence, there are many factors monitored in this paper that would affect the direction of Sunak's foreign policy, such as his lack of experience in foreign policy, as he has never held a position in the Foreign Office, on the one hand. On the other hand, unlike former UK prime ministers, he does not seem to be a strong supporter of neo-conservative policy in the Middle East; therefore, he is unlikely to support the hard-line US right-wing agenda, and will be less enthusiastic about the sanctions imposed on Russia, China, Iran, and others.
Thirdly, his Indian background and his relationship with her prime minister, will be controlled by economic necessity and by redoubling efforts with the United States to keep P. M. Modi away from his close ties with Russia and Iran.
Sunak's main priority is to reform the British economy first, limit the electoral damage to conservatives until the next general election, and is unlikely to make any noise on any major foreign policy issue.
