Dimensions for Strategic Studies Center (DSS) Organizes a Seminar at the University of Oxford

Dimensions for Strategic Studies Center (DSS) organized a symposium at Oxford University in the United Kingdom, entitled "Regional Climate: Current Transformations and the Expected Path". Several experts from Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan, and Morocco attended the event.

The participants reviewed the internal political changes taking place in the countries of the region, the impact of external variables on the internal situation as well as the map of alliances which are being rebuilt in a different way.

Moreover; the participants focused on the profound influence of external actors on the region's vulnerability in general and external challenges like food shortage in addition to external military and security threats. Furthermore, the dangers of internal fragility resulting from the absence of democratization and good governance.

This symposium comes within the framework of a series of meetings organized by the Center in order to solicit the opinions of experts and analysts from various countries in the region and for the purpose of drawing a realistic map of the expected scenarios at the micro and macro levels.
